FBReader: Favorite Book Reader – The Literary Fiesta in My Pocket!

Alright, my fellow book lovers and digital wanderers, let me take a moment to tell you about this little gem I stumbled upon – FBReader: Favorite Book Reader on Android. Now, before you roll your eyes and think, "Oh great, here comes the tech mumbo-jumbo," let me assure you – this is *not* just another e-reader. This is the e-reader that brings pastries to the party, a full plate of nachos, and maybe even a rousing rendition of "Don’t Stop Believin’" while it jams out in your pocket. Seriously, this app is like your bookish best friend who always knows what to read next and shares hilarious memes at the right time.

So picture this: I was lounging in my favorite nook – you know, the one with the good lighting and a view that screams "Instagram-worthy" but still smells faintly of old pizza. I decided to dive into this app called FBReader: Favorite Book Reader. Initially, I was a little skeptical, because let’s face it, I have tried more e-readers than I have tried different donut flavors, and that’s saying something. But the moment I unlocked the app, it was like stepping into a literary wonderland. The layout? Flawless. You can customize it to more colors than a box of crayons. Want a bright neon background that screams 90s raver? You got it! More of a subtle "I-like-my-e-books-to-feel-like-a-cozy-cafe" vibe? FBReader has your back. It’s like choosing your bookish aesthetic but without the overpriced lattes!

And oh boy, let’s talk about the features! One of my favorite bits is the robust library management; it’s like having a personal librarian who not only knows where your favorite books are but also their life stories. You can organize your collection in ways that would make Marie Kondo proud. Plus, for those of you who might be struggling to read during a global pandemic (you know who you are), the text-to-speech function is a game changer. I mean, nothing beats the sensation of “reading” while cooking or pretending to work out. I can’t tell you how many times I’ve whipped up a gourmet meal while listening to *Moby Dick* narrated by an overly dramatic voice that might as well be auditioning for a Shakespearean play. A round of applause for my ability to multitask like a boss!

Now, let me slip in a quick tip here before I forget, because I can practically hear the 'newbies' asking how to level up their game. If you really want to magnify your FBReader experience, consider looking into a mod for FBReader: Favorite Book Reader. Like a secret cheat code but without the guilt of feeling like you’re cheating at life. You can acquire a mod for lots of money FBReader that gives you access to premium features. Think of it as buying the deluxe version of your favorite snack without the extra vacant judgement from shopkeepers about your food choices. Trust me, this will open up a whole new world of choices, and you'll thank me later when you’re not stuck reading the free stuff that makes you question life’s decisions.

Also, if you’re looking to connect with fellow readers, the community around FBReader is as warm and welcoming as a giant teddy bear in winter. You may come across discussions on the best mods, tips for organizing your reading list, and some heartwarming stories that will make you feel all fuzzy inside. I once stumbled upon a thread where a user recounted how they read through a punishing work schedule with the help of this app. It felt like a TED talk in text form. Seriously, it’s like these readers are your virtual cheerleaders. “You read three pages today? Awesome! Go you!” Who knew my journey through imaginary lands would be supported by such uplifting folks?

So there you have it, folks – FBReader: Favorite Book Reader on Android is not just an e-book reader; it's an entire vibe, a community, and frankly, a huge boost to my commitment to read more. Whether you’re a casual reader, a bookworm, or just the person who says they’re reading War and Peace but really just binge-watching cat videos, this app is for you. So dive headfirst, take the leap, and give it a whirl. Your reading journey awaits, and you just might find yourself laughing out loud at the hilarity of it all while discovering new worlds! Remember, this isn’t just about reading; it’s about engaging and having a blast while doing what you love. Happy reading!

I give it a 5 with a small minus :) I used to use Cool Reader before - FBReader opens books that Cool could not open. On the other hand - I personally lack a menu item - the last opened books, and the ability to quickly go to these books. The item is not global, not fatal ... But still, a little bit of it is missing.... Therefore, 5 with a small minus.

Will definitely pick up the paid version in support of the fb3 format. Only one minus (really very annoying) - after editing a book by an external program (title, author, etc.) in the library they are not changed in any way. Only by resetting all application data, but then the settings and reading progress are lost.

After updating the words that are marked with a cipher to learn their meaning is not read to the end only half and then the text continues, but it can not read it sometimes at the top of the inscription then you click it and read, but this is a rare case in general there is no and read to the end of the meaning of words is not possible

Fine...One bug: When you click on the three bars, the list of "About the book" opens. , "Table of Contents", etc. So - periodically disappears item "Table of Contents", goes item "About the book", and after him, "Bookmarks" and others. Item "Table of Contents" appears only after reloading the application. This is really annoying... Fix it, please...

Great app for reading, but alas premium is not affordable. If at least half price, would support the project with a purchase. Good luck to the developer. Ps. premium is better to build in the regular version, rather than making a separate application, more chances to buy. And discounts can be done at your discretion.

I would like the function of changing the book, for example when you download books from one series, but they are written in different series because of one word that was mistakenly added in the revision. Also, very often the words are hyphenated, which makes it very difficult to read the books. Otherwise fine.

Before the last update, everything was great. But alas, after it, it is part of the book is stupid does not see. Most of the books are missing. But in the file books they are still there. But I restore 5000 files, one by one, pressing to open in Fbreader (so he starts seeing them) frankly awkward. So if this is not corrected then move to another reader, which would not want because the interface is one of the best

Overcomplicated UI - I need to read a book, not understand dozens of semi-necessary options. Automation for the sake of automation, not for the sake of user-friendliness.

I used the free version and plugins for a long time, and now I bought premium and do not regret a bit, excellent reader with easy to page flip through the sound buttons, as well as the ability to set the brightness specifically for reading. many formats from the common pdf and fb2 to rare comic kbz and kbr. i advise everyone!
